  1. With No 44 Burgate. C14 timber-framed house. 2 storeys and dormers plastered. Old steeply pitched tiled roof with 2 hipped dormers. Moulded eaves cornice. 2 sashes with vertical glazing bars only. Bressumer on brackets. Later C19 shopfront.

Nos 1 to 9 (consec) and Nos 38 to 44 (consec) Burgate together with Nos 1 to 8A (consec) and Nos 10 to 16 Mercery Lane form a group.
