Description

Number 6 Butchery Lane is a medieval and later building that stands two storeys tall and is constructed of painted brick. A Victorian gable front has been added to the structure. The building features one sash window with intact glazing bars and a three-light window on the first floor. Inside, there is a later shopfront and an 18th-century staircase that has scrolled tread ends and panelling. This property is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 9 and Nos 38 to 44 Burgate, as well as Nos 1 to 8A and Nos 10 to 16 Mercery Lane.
