Description

This section of wall, dating from the 12th century, is located at the rear of the Chapel on Northgate. It is approximately 30 feet high and has an L-shape, constructed from flint with some masonry sections. The wall features round-arched window openings and a round-arched door, along with corbels. This wall is part of a group that includes the Chapel, Refectory Hall, Kitchen, and Nos 1 to 7 (consecutive) at St John's Hospital.
