Description

No. 46 Northgate is an 18th-century building that stands two storeys tall and is finished in stucco. It has a hipped roof that has been renewed with tiles. The front features two sash windows with intact glazing bars set within a moulded architrave. There is a 19th-century shop front and a doorcase on the left side, which includes a rectangular fanlight and pilasters. This building is part of a group that includes Nos. 46 to 48 and the Gatehouse to St John's Hospital.
