Description

Lloyd's Bank is a building from the late 19th century located at 944 High Street on the south-west side. It is two storeys tall, constructed of brick with stone dressings. The building features crenellated parapets and has two eight-sided corner turrets. The windows are mullioned and transomed, complete with hood moulding. There is a stone stringcourse and an oriel window on the first floor. The central doorcase also has hood moulding, with a four-centre arched door and quatrefoil ornament in the spandrels. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 37 to 46 (consecutive) and Nos 48 and 49.
