Description
These stables and outbuildings, located about 5 to 20 metres south and west of The Farriers Arms, date from the 18th to 19th century. They are constructed with a timber frame and weatherboarding, and have been extended with ragstone featuring red brick dressings. The building has a plain tiled roof and consists of a single-storey weatherboarded range with a hipped roof. On the left and at the end to the right, there are wooden casements, while the centre features double carriage doors and the right side has sliding doors. At the end left, there is a hoist housing and an upper floor passage with a wooden casement and a half-door below, which connects to a two-storey ragstone block that has a hipped roof to the left and a central segmentally headed boarded door. This building is included for its group value.
