Description
Bell House is a house dating back to the 16th century, which was subsequently clad and extended in the 18th century. The house is timber framed, with exposed framing to the rear and brick infill. The front is clad in ragstone and painted brick. It has a plain tiled roof. The house has two storeys and an attic, built on a ragstone plinth, and features a parapet to the hipped roof with two dormers. There are stacks at each end of the building. The first floor has five sash windows, each with sunken panels above and aprons below. The ground floor has four sash windows with gauged heads. A central half-glazed door is set within a doorcase featuring engaged columns, an entablature, and a blocking pediment. A raking wall is attached to the right. Ragstone return walls and exposed framed rear wings are also present.
