Description
The Farriers Arms is a public house that dates back to the 16th century, with alterations and extensions made in the 18th and 19th centuries. It has a timber-framed core that is clad and extended with painted brick and tile hanging at the rear, topped with a plain tiled roof. The main block consists of one storey and an attic, featuring a hipped dormer and a stack positioned to the centre left. There are two wooden casement windows on the front. To the left, there is a two-storey hipped wing with a stack at the end left and a glazing bar sash window on the first floor. To the right, another two-storey wing has a glazing bar sash on the first floor, two wooden casements on the ground floor, and a stack at the end right. The entrance is marked by a central boarded door set in a raking porch. At the rear, there is a catslide outshot. Inside, the framed structure includes moulded beams, possibly remnants from a dais.
