Description

  1. GREAT CHART CHILMINGTON GREEN 5272 Great Chilmington Farmhouse (formerly listed as Great Chilmington) TQ 94 SE 15/43 14.2.67 II 2. Two parallel rates. The original portion was the south-east and north-east fronts which form an 'L'. Probably C17 refaced, the ground floor with red brick on a base of stone rubble, above tile-hung. Two storeys. flipped tiled roof. Three windows. Casements on the first floor, sashes without glazing bars below. The angle of the 'L' was filled in to form tile north-west range in the C18. This projects north-east further than the original north-east front. It is faced with stone rubble. Hipped tiled roof with sprocket eaves cornice.
