Great Chilmington Farmhouse

Great Chilmington Farmhouse is a Grade II listed building located at Great Chart Chilmington Green. The farmhouse consists of two parallel ranges, with the original section forming an 'L' shape, comprising the south-east and north-east fronts. Likely built in the 17th century, the ground floor is refaced with red brick set on a base of stone rubble, while the upper part is tile-hung. The building has two storeys and a flipped tiled roof. It features three windows, with casements on the first floor and sashes without glazing bars on the ground floor. In the 18th century, the angle of the 'L' was filled in to create a new north-west range, which extends further north-east than the original north-east front. This addition is faced with stone rubble and has a hipped tiled roof with sprocket eaves cornice.
