Description

Chilmington Farmhouse is an L-shaped building dating from the 18th century or earlier. It is two storeys high, with the ground floor constructed of stone rubble featuring red brick dressings and quoins, while the upper floor is tile-hung. The roof is hipped and tiled, adorned with three gabled dormers. The north front includes a 19th-century projection at the centre, topped with a shaped Dutch gable that contains a cartouche displaying the crest of the Toke family, who were formerly associated with Godinton.
