Description

This is an early 19th century block of small houses located on Smallhythe Road. The building is constructed of yellow brick, with the ground floor imitating masonry through painted, grooved wood. A bracketed eaves cornice runs along the top. The upper floors feature four sash windows with original glazing bars and cambered head linings on the first floor. Number 7 has a particularly attractive curved shop window with intact glazing bars. A six-panelled door is set within a fluted frame. The listed buildings, numbers 1 to 17 on the east side of the road, form a group together with numbers 9 and 11 West Cross.
