Description

Number 9, West Cross is an 18th-century building that stands three storeys tall and is finished in roughcast. It features a hipped slate roof and a bracket cornice. The front has one sash window with verticals only and a three-light bay window that extends through all storeys. On the left side, there is an open pedimented doorcase adorned with triglyphs and pilasters, which frames a semi-circular fanlight above a six-panelled door. Number 9, along with Number 11, is part of a group that includes all the listed buildings on the east side of Smallhythe Road from Numbers 1 to 17.
