Description
The gates and quadrant walls to Olantigh date from the mid 19th century and are made of rendered brick with iron gates. They feature a symmetrical design with convex curving walls that are about 1 foot high, topped with an arcaded upper section and coping. At each end, the walls are terminated by piers that stand approximately 6 feet high, adorned with cornices and enriched stone urns. The inner piers are connected to large gate piers by short lengths of iron railing, and the gate piers are topped with large festooned urns. The iron carriage gates are ornately decorated.
