Description
Bilting House is an 18th-century house located on the east side of Canterbury Road in Godmersham. It is constructed of red brick with a plain tile roof and features two storeys with a hipped roof. There is a hipped dormer on the right side, a projecting end stack on the left, and a stack at the rear right. The house has a regular arrangement of four windows, although the extreme right window is blocked. The remaining windows are glazing bar sashes with gauged heads. To the left of the house, there is a six-panelled door set in a porch with a pediment above. Adjacent to the house is a garden wall that stands 12 feet high, extending approximately 15 yards, stepped down twice, and returning at the end, with one window cut through it.
