Description
The walled garden and outbuildings at Olantigh Nurseries date from the 18th century. They are constructed of red brick and feature a plain tiled roof. The circular walled garden has a diameter of about 100 yards and is enclosed by a wall that stands approximately 8 feet high, with occasional doors set in buttressed gateways. The main entrance is located through an outbuilding on the north side, which is two storeys tall. This outbuilding has walls that rise to the gable ends, with stacks on both the left and right sides. The first floor has five blank window recesses, while the ground floor features four wooden casements and a central boarded door.
To the north-west, there is a second outbuilding connected by secondary walls, and to the south-east, there are glass houses that are part of a single-storey structure. This structure includes a projecting wing with two Y-tracery casements and two sash windows on the main block, along with a boarded door on the left return and a blank wall to the left.
