Description
Down Farmhouse is a house that dates from the 16th century or earlier. It is timber framed and covered with red brick and tile hanging, topped by a plain tiled roof. The building has a lobby entry plan and stands two storeys high with a hipped roof featuring gablets and a central left stack. There are three wooden casement windows on each floor, and a boarded door located to the centre left, which is sheltered by a flat hood supported by brackets. At the rear, there is a catslide outshot.
