Description

This is an early 19th-century oast house located on the north side of Wye Amage Road, near Coldharbour Farm. It is constructed of painted brick and tarred weatherboard, topped with a plain tiled roof. The southern end features a roundel with a cill band and a conical roof topped with a cowl and winder. Extending northwards is a very long stowage and utility block, approximately 50 metres in length. The stowage block is of painted brick adjacent to the oast, and is extended with a weatherboard-framed structure over painted brick. Carriage doors are positioned to the right and left of the oast, with a series of boarded doors to the rear on both floors and within the northern gable wall. Wooden casements are found in the roundel and the adjacent stowage.
