Description

This is a group of three houses located at 25, 27, and 29 Scotton Street. The houses date to the 18th century. They are constructed of red brick with a plain tiled roof. The properties stand on a plinth and have a moulded wooden eaves cornice, topped by a half-hipped roof with chimney stacks situated to the left and right. The front elevation shows two distinct builds. The left side has two wooden casement windows on the first floor and two on the ground floor, each having segmental brick heads. The right side has three first-floor windows and two ground-floor windows, similarly styled. The left-hand house has a door of six raised and fielded panels, while the right-hand house has a partially glazed door, both with pedimented hoods and moulded architraves. A basement opening is visible on the left side. A late 20th-century wing to the right return features a half-glazed door.
