Description
Nos. 1, 3, and 5 on Scotton Street are a terrace row built in the 18th century. They are constructed of red brick in English bond and feature tile hanging, topped with a plain tiled roof. The building consists of two parallel ranges, standing two storeys high on a plinth and basement. The first floor is adorned with fish-scale hung tiles and has a moulded wooden eaves cornice at the attic level, which includes two flat-roofed dormers. There are stacks located at the left end and at the rear center of the building.
On the first floor, there are four glazing bar sash windows. The ground floor features a wooden casement window at the left end and a centrally located shop window with mullions and transoms, along with a glazed door. To the right, there are two additional glazing bar sash windows. The property is complemented by a railed forecourt with spear-headed rails, and there is a blocked basement opening at the left end.
