Description

Nos. 24 and 26 on Scotton Street are a pair of houses with an 18th-century exterior that incorporates a core dating back to the 16th century or earlier. The buildings are timber framed and covered with painted brick, featuring tile hanging on the rear and side elevations. They have a plain tiled roof and stand two storeys high on a plinth, topped with a hipped roof that includes gablets and a central chimney stack. The front facade displays a regular arrangement of two glazing bar sash windows on each floor, along with a central door that has four panels and is topped by a flat hood supported by brackets.
