Description
Plummer is a 16th-century timber-framed farmhouse designed in a half-H plan. The north side has been rebuilt with red brick and grey headers on the ground floor, but the original timber-framing with plaster infilling is still visible above. The gable features a bressumer and scalloped bargeboards. On the first floor, there are casement windows, including two original oriel windows that project on brackets, both retaining their original diamond panes. The main east front has been refaced with weatherboarding on the ground floor and tiles above during the 18th century. It also has an eaves cornice and sash windows with intact glazing bars, along with a flat hood over the door. Inside, there is a staircase dated 1671, complete with balusters and a ball finial. Plummer and the Oasthouse are part of a group.
