Description

This is an 18th-century barn located 25 meters southeast of Pitt Manor Farm House. It features a timber-frame structure that is weatherboarded and sits on a brick plinth, topped with a slate roof. The barn has four bays and aisles, with some openings added to the weatherboarding. One side includes a gabled midstray porch in an inner bay, which has double doors facing the opposite side. Inside, the barn has a queen post roof with posts resting on base plates and ties connecting to the wallplates. There are straight braces to the aisleplates and tie-beams, as well as windbraces.
