Description

1 and 2 The Square is an early 19th-century building constructed in red brick. No 1 has two storeys, while No 2 has three storeys and is part of No 3. No 1 features two windows, and No 2 has one window, both of which are sashes with glazing bars above a modern shop front. The first floor of No 2 includes an oriel window. The building is topped with a hipped slate roof. It has a similar appearance to other buildings on The Close and is listed for its group value, as it forms part of a group with Nos 2 to 14 (even).
