26 and 27 High Street are late 18th century buildings that stand three storeys tall and are constructed of brick. They feature three windows above modern shop fronts. Number 26 has one window, while number 27 has two sash windows with glazing bars, positioned on two different levels. The buildings are topped with a modillion cornice and a parapet, although the roof is not visible. They are part of a group that includes The Old Market House, the Butter Cross, and Nos 25 to 50 in consecutive order.
