Description

23 and 24 The Square are two buildings originally constructed as one house in the 17th and 18th centuries. They are made of red brick with blue headers, although No 24 is now painted. The buildings are two storeys high with an attic and feature seven windows, one of which is blocked. The windows are sashes with glazing bars. No 23 has a 19th-century shop front, while No 24 has a modern shop front. No 24 also includes a modillion eaves cornice. The buildings have an old tiled roof with dormers. The listed buildings on the north side of The Square, from No 10 to No 25, form a group.
