Stream Hair and Beauty, Biscoes Solicitors and Byrne Runciman

This building in Wickham’s Square began as two separate houses, likely of earlier origin, and was refronted. The junction between different architectural styles is visible, particularly in the Vivian section. The south side features brickwork with blue headers, red flush quoins, and rubbed flat arches, topped by a parapet. The north side, set back slightly, is red brick in a Flemish bond pattern with rubbed flat arches; the ground floor features have been altered. A continuous tile roof covers the building.

The south-east elevation is two storeys high and has a facade of approximately 4.2 windows. It contains sash windows. The south side has a double-fronted shopfront, while the central portion of Byrne Runciman incorporates an early 19th-century double-fronted shopfront with a central doorway flanked by small bays containing eighteen panes of glass. These bays sit on brackets. Two other ground floor windows fill the spaces of what were formerly door openings. The interior of Byrne Runciman retains rooms that partially incorporate the former Blunden facade.
