Description
Moberley's is a two-storey house located on Kingsgate Street, built in 1833 but with origins dating back to 1571. The house features twin brick gables at the south end and has been altered and extended in the 18th century and later. The upper floor has pairs of double windows, which are sash windows with glazing bars. The ground floor includes irregularly placed windows, a notable 5-light mullioned window, and an 8-panel door set beneath a Tuscan porch. The gable heads are adorned with 2-light windows from the 16th century, while other windows have stone frames. To the right, there is a 19th-century extension that is two storeys tall with an attic, featuring four windows and four gabled dormers. The doorway originally came from the adjoining house. The building is topped with an old tile roof that has diagonally set stacks. Moberley's is part of a group of listed buildings along Kingsgate Street.
