Description
Curtle House is a house located on Beaulieu High Street, with origins dating back to the late 17th century. It was rebuilt in the 18th century and altered in the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of brick with blue headers and features an old plain tile roof. It has two storeys and an attic, with five bays, and includes a lower two-bay addition from the late 19th century at one end, as well as a wing at the rear of that end.
The front of the original part has a central square-plan parapetted porch. There is a four-centred arch flanked by narrow niches, with similar windows on the sides. On the east side, there are two French windows in moulded frames. The first floor features five 12-pane sash windows, and the roof has three gabled dormers with two lights each. The gables and end stacks are adorned with bargeboards. On the left-hand side, the lower part has a four-light transomed window, while the first floor has a four-light casement and a single light.
