Description
The terraced garden and forecourt located south-west and south-east of New Place is a formal garden designed to align symmetrically with the house. It features terraces at three levels, bordered by brick walls, and includes a series of steps. The garden primarily consists of lawn areas with herbaceous borders, while stone-paved footpaths are situated near the house. At each end of the main cross path, there are rustic garden seats made from boards. The front area has a simple gravelled forecourt, which is accessed through brick gatepiers.
