Description
Little Park Mansions is a large house, now converted into flats, dating from the late 18th and early 19th century. The walls are of stucco, with a plinth. The main roof is hipped, covered with interlocking tiles, while a wing has a hipped slate roof extending as a half-hipped tile roof. The northwest front elevation is regular, with three storeys and seven windows, a wider spacing between the fifth and sixth openings. The windows are sash windows. A porch features two pilasters and smooth columns supporting a full Doric order with dentils and triglyphs, topped with a pediment, and contains a six-panelled door, accessed by stone steps and now enclosed by glazing. A two-story, L-shaped service wing extends to the north side, displaying some original and 20th-century details. The southeast elevation includes a short projection and a lower, more projecting service block. The main section of this elevation has three storeys and 2 windows, again with sash windows. A Doric doorcase with a pediment, three-quarter columns, and a half-glazed door is also present. The service wing here features a first-floor French window opening onto a balcony supported by brackets, with a Regency-style wrought-iron railing.
