Description
Spencer Place is a house dating from the late 15th century to early 16th century, with 17th-century timber-framed extensions, 19th-century extensions, and renovations around 1900. The building has an exposed timber frame, jettied in part, with close-studding and infill of plaster above brick. Other walls are made of brickwork, with some tile-hanging at the rear. The roof is tiled, half-hipped at the west end and hipped with lower eaves above an outshot at the east end. The north front features two storeys and an attic, with four casement windows. There is a traditional porch within the outshot, while the other elevations are irregular and mainly feature 19th-century details.
