Description
Court House Cottages, Nos 1, 2, and 3, located on the south side of Bank Street in Bishops Waltham, are a row of three cottages dating from the late 17th century and early 19th century. The walls of Nos 1 and 2 are made of painted brickwork arranged in Flemish Garden Wall bond, while No. 3 features upper walls of exposed timber framing and lower walls of painted brickwork in Flemish bond. The cottages have a plinth and some cambered openings. The roof is tiled and has different levels, hipped at the east end, with a catslide at the rear and gabled dormers on No. 1. The cottages are narrow, originally probably five in number but now reduced to three, with an irregular north front elevation that is one storey and attic on the left and two storeys on the right, featuring three windows on the upper level and one on the lower. The windows are casements, and there are plain doorways.
