Description
The Court House is a late 18th-century house, subsequently used as offices. It is located on the north side of Bank Street in Bishops Waltham. The building has walls of brickwork, with blue headers and red quoins, featuring cambered rubbed arches with flat extrados. The bond is Flemish below ground floor cill level. It has a hipped tile roof. The south front is symmetrical, with two storeys and three windows. The windows are sash windows in exposed frames. The doorway has an open pediment supported by carved brackets, and a radiating fanlight within an arched frame above an architrave. The door itself is six-panelled, with four glazed panels at the top. Inside, the original plain staircase is present, along with panelled doors within architraves.
