Description
Old Mill Cottage is a building that was originally a mill, dating from the 16th century or earlier, and was remodeled around 1965. It features a brick-encased timber frame with a thatched roof. The front of the cottage is one and a half stories high and consists of four bays. The right two bays extend outward with a connected porch on the left. The left bay overlooks the River Dever and has a 19th-century two-light casement window. The other bays have large 20th-century windows on both stories. The rear of the building includes 18th-century two and three-light casement windows with cambered heads, as well as eyebrow dormers featuring 18th-century three-light casements in the left two bays. Originally, the structure had two bays for the mill and additional bays for the miller's cottage, but all machinery has been removed.
