Description
Number 2 Church Close is an early 19th-century building with a symmetrical facade facing south. It is two storeys high and features three windows. The low-pitched slate roof has wide eaves and a soffit moulding. The walls are finished in stucco, with a cill band at the first floor, an architrave at the ground floor, and a plinth. The windows are sash types set in reveals. On the east side, the ground floor includes a later addition of a plain rectangular bay with a tile roof. The entrance features a Doric doorway with a blocking course and pilasters. The east elevation mirrors the main facade's symmetry, with three windows arranged as 1.1.1, and a full-height bow-shaped projection in the center. The west elevation is regular, with two upper windows, then one lower sash window and two filled panels, along with a plain round-headed doorway topped by a decorative fanlight. The building is prominently visible from three sides.
