Description
The stable block located 10 meters southwest of Winton House dates from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of knapped flint with brick dressings and some stone, topped with an old plain tile roof. The building features eight bays and is one and a half stories high, with two central bays that project and have gabled roofs. In these central bays, there are pairs of arched openings that were originally for carriage doors but are now glazed, along with a large three-light window above that has a lowered sill and a clock in the gable. The gable has a kneeler and an open bellcote on the ridge.
To the right, there are two-light casements with cambered heads, a larger door in a similar head, and a higher set three-light casement. In the center gable, there is a two-light casement, with gabled dormers on each side. To the left, there is a high side three-light casement in a cambered head, another high set window, and a pair of two-light windows also in cambered heads. Above the door, there is a two-light casement in a gablet and two two-light gabled dormers. The building also features decorative patterns in brick above the windows and has kneelered gables.
