Description

This is a late 18th-century house with a 19th-century addition, located on Butchers Arms Lane in Nether Wallop. The house is constructed of brick with an old plain tile roof. It is two storeys high and originally three bays wide, though the facade is slightly asymmetrical due to the 19th-century single-storey addition on the left. The central entrance has a four-panel door within a 18th-century solid frame, topped with a moulded flat hood. On either side of the door are 19th-century three-light casement windows, each with a rubbed brick head. On the first floor, there are three-light casement windows on either side of a two-light casement. A splash board runs along the front, beneath dentilled eaves. Brick ridge stacks are located at each end of the building. A 19th-century single-storey shop is attached to the left, featuring a large one- and three-light casement window.
