Description

The stables and coach-house to Bec House, located on its north side, date from the early 19th century. Constructed of cob and brick, the building features a thatched and slate roof. The central block has a hipped thatch roof with eyebrows above the hayloft doors. The walls are rendered over cob and brick, and there is a carriage entrance along with a stable door. At each end, there are lower stable blocks with hipped slate roofs and brick walls built on a flint base, which is partly rendered. The entire structure forms an L-shaped building that encloses the rear courtyard of the house, lacking features along the roadside and the entrance to the site.
