Description
Corner Cottage is a cottage dating to the 16th century, with later alterations in the late 18th century. It is constructed of cob with a thatched roof. The building retains elements of the original timber frame, including a jettied east end. The south front, which faces the street, has one storey and an attic, with three windows above four. The roof is ½-hipped and includes a 20th-century catslide at the rear, with eaves raised above the upper windows and lowered above the porch. The walls are rendered and contain casement windows. A boarded door is set within a rendered porch. The cottage was formerly listed as the cottage adjacent to Rectory Cottage on the east.
