Description

Fourways is a house dating from the early 18th century, constructed of brick and thatch. The front, facing south, has two storeys and three windows. The roof is half-hipped at the west end, featuring an exposed frame in the upper gable and a catslide at the rear. The walls are made of blue header brickwork with red dressings, including a first-floor band, cambered openings with keys at the ground floor, and a plinth. Above the doorway, there is a red panel with a blue diaper design. The windows are casements, and the entrance has a boarded door located beneath a tiled and gabled canopy supported by posts. The east gable showcases brickwork in Flemish bond with blue headers, a first-floor band, and a central opening that has been filled in.
