Description
The Telegraph House is an early 19th-century telegraph house that has been converted into a private residence. It features a stuccoed brick exterior and consists of a single bay three-storey tower flanked by single-storey bays on each side, all set on a basement. The front of the building has a porch at the ground floor, which is raised on a plinth, and the entrance door is located on the side, accessed by steps. Each side of the porch and on every floor of the tower has a 19th-century cross-window. The building has coping along the parapet. While the lower rooms have been restored, the top storey remains unaltered, including a steep flight of stairs leading up to it and a ladder on the wall that provides access to the roof. This structure is part of the Plymouth extension of the telegraph.
