Description
The Yew Tree is a cottage dating from the 17th century, with alterations and recladding in the 18th century. It is constructed of rendered walls on a cob base, and has a thatched roof. The south-facing front has a 1-storey attic and displays two windows above three. The roof is half-hipped at the east end, with a catslide at the rear, hipped at the west end, and brought to a lower eaves above an outshot, with raised eaves above the upper windows and lowered eaves at the centre, forming an open porch supported by two rustic poles. The windows are casements, with one 20th-century sash window. There is a boarded door. Internally, remains of an original timber-framed structure are present.
