Description
This building, known as Watermill, is a Grade II listed former pair of cottages that has been converted into a single dwelling. It dates from the mid-18th century and features rendered walls above a flint base and a thatched roof. The main elevation, facing east, is symmetrical and consists of one storey and an attic with four windows. The hipped roof is low at each end, above outshots that are clad in vertical rustic poles. The eaves are raised above the dormers, which have cills at eaves level, and there is one eyebrow dormer on the west elevation facing the road. The walls are likely made of cob, with painted triangular brick panels set within timber-framing beside the dormers. The windows are casements, and there are glazed doors beneath slate-roofed canopies supported by braced wood brackets.
