Description
Home Farm House is an early 18th-century house with early 19th-century additions made when it was converted into two dwellings. The building features a combination of flint and brick construction, topped with a thatched roof. The front (south) elevation is two storeys high, with a layout of two windows above three windows. The roof has a half-hipped design at the west end and is hipped at the east end, with a catslide at the rear.
The walls display thin horizontal bands of flint, with shorter flint panels between the openings and two ground-floor cambered bond sections featuring blue headers. The brickwork on each side is in Flemish bond with blue headers. The west side includes casement windows and a doorway with a pediment hood, which has a fretted front supported by carved brackets, leading to a six-panelled door. The east side features three-light sash windows and a doorcase in the Doric Order, which includes mutules, triglyphs, and dentils, topped with an open pediment. This side also has a door with three panels glazed at the top and a plaque above the door inscribed with "TCMC 1718." Inside, the middle room contains an 18th-century mantlepiece with a moulded front displaying a wavy pattern.
