Description
The White Hart Public House is a late 18th-century building located on Chalkcroft Lane in Penton Mewsey. It features rendered walls and a tiled roof. The front, which faces west, is two storeys high with three windows. The roof is hipped at the north end and gabled at the south, topped with a large tapered brick chimney. The front wall is plain and has a plinth, while the south side extends as a plaster wall that covers a single-storey outshot with a slate roof. The other walls are made of flint and brick or painted brickwork. The windows are casements, and the entrance has a plain doorway with a mid-19th-century pediment hood supported by brackets, leading to a half-glazed door.
