Description

The gatepiers and garden wall surrounding the garden of Penton Close were built in the mid-19th century. They are constructed from brick and flint. The wall along the front and part of the south side features flint panels with brick quoins, verticals, and a plinth, topped with tiles. The remaining sections consist of red brickwork in Flemish bond, with thin buttresses, a plinth, and a brick top. At the south-east corner, there is an entrance flanked by octagonal brick piers, which have a plinth and a stone Gothic cap.
