Description

This early 19th-century terrace located at 2 to 12 Winchester Street features two storeys and an attic, with a total of three windows across the front. The building has a slate mansard roof with six dormers, of which the two southernmost are original and have cambered lead-covered heads with sash windows. The walls are made of painted brick, with rubbed flat arches and a stucco cornice. The ground floor includes two shopfronts that have a cornice, frieze, and thin pilasters framing the doorway and shop windows, while two other shopfronts are modern. This terrace is important for its group value and is associated with a nearby corner block on Bridge Street.
