Description
Barclay's Bank, located at Nos 5 and 5a on Andover High Street, was built in 1915 and is a Grade II listed building. It features a symmetrical facade on the east side, consisting of three storeys with a window arrangement of 1.3.1. The building has a tile roof and a modillion cornice that is raised above the central section, which is designed as a pediment. The exterior is made of stone ashlar and includes recessed architraves with keys on the first floor, rusticated pilasters on either side of the slightly projecting center, a moulded band on the first floor, and a rusticated ground floor with arched openings and panels below the cills. The windows are sash, and there are entrances located on each side of the building.
