Description
The White Hart Hotel is a late 18th century building with a Victorian/Classical facade, located on Andover Bridge Street. It features three storeys and four windows, with a hidden slate roof. The exterior is made of red brick in Flemish bond, accented with stucco details. Notable architectural elements include a low parapet above a moulded cornice, rustic quoins, and architraves, with the first floor displaying segmental pediments on brackets. There is a first floor band and a rusticated ground floor with open joints designed as voussoirs, along with a plinth. The windows on the east side are Victorian sashes with three lights. The entrance has a dentilled cornice, heavy carved brackets, and Ionic half columns that support a balcony with a decorative cast iron balustrade. On the west side, there is an oval carriageway arch. Above the doorway, at the third bay, is a sculptured hart.
