Description
This is a terrace of five houses, now functioning as one shop with flats above, dating from the early 19th century, with 20th-century alterations. The building is constructed of pink and cream mottled brick in Flemish bond, accented with red brick dressings. It features plain timber eaves cornices, except for No. 48, which has a grooved cornice. The terrace has a coped right gable and five brick ridge stacks on a pantile roof. The front is three stories high with five windows. The ground floor has 20th-century shop fronts with aluminium framing. The first and second floor windows are tripartite sashes with painted stone sills, featuring 4:12:4-pane lights on the first floor and squat 2:4:2-pane lights on the second floor. The window openings are quoined and have cambered arches made of brick.
